Day 154 @ Chicago Yacht Club, Chicago, Illinois – The Great Loop Boat Trip

The day started with some stretching and an inversion table! Then we were quickly off to prepare for our tee time at Olympia Fields County Club!

The ladies locker room at OFCC.

The remodel at Olympia Fields went really well! Now the ladies don’t have to walk outside to get to the locker room! We got off the famous North course a little early.

Here is the famous Olympia Fields clock tower.

This Nick and John goofing off.

Nick was hitting well off the carpet like grass!

I pulled up and saw this view and said to myself – thank you John, this is so cool!

Finally my tour of sand traps was over. Then a quick bite on the patio. With some wine…

Back to Johns place where there was a temporary shrine to Nick & I. This is what really makes me feel welcome!

I’m so excited for tonight! John and Jody and their friends and their daughters!

They brought hats!

Tour of the boat!

This is Tim and Alice. Alice, we decided, looks like Laura Dern, a skinny Renee Zellweger and Reese Witherspoon. (Yellow shirt below).

First it we did dinner at the Chicago Yacht Club.

Not sure what John ordered.

It was wonderful to spend time with my awesome brother John.

The evening on the boat included yacht karaoke.

Then the teenagers showed up.

It was great getting to know everyone! The two teens met horseback riding and I think Olivia is going on to pursue that avenue for a career. So fun to hear about their plans!

Quote of the day: I thought the goat was alive.

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
