Left a little later that anticipated this morning because Breakaway had another flood in the bedroom. Had to say goodbye to adorable St. Michaels!

Had a very smooth ride all the way in! Upon arrival we saw the duomo under repair.

After checking in we discovered that the same people that own this marina own another Marina we plan to stay at later in the trip. Called and talked to JD about it and he’s going to put us in his newsletter! Then we headed to see the sites. Greg recommended the water taxi and it was a blast! Took it right in to Ego Alley. Which is approximately named!

Surprise! We found an Irish Pub to relax and get a snack.

Then we searched out ice coffee to keep us going and Nick of course got ice cream!

Mindy and I went to a cool used book store and then we went to the Capitol building for a self guided tour!

This was very interesting! We went in the very room the George Washington was in when he resigned his command after the Revolutionary War!

A lot of history took place here! The Calverts were removed as the land owners and governors of Maryland! There were 5 men from Maryland who signed the Declaration of Independence! John Carroll was one and he started Georgetown University, he was the first Bishop of the USA and the only Catholic who signed the Declaration of Independence as well as a pretty great guy!

While Nick ran out to get a rental car we finished up the learning experience!

DeKalb was a pretty great guy but it took over 105 years for his statue to stand!

Just a magnificent day exploring and learning!

We just adore the architecture here!

Tried to squeeze in the museum store before Pussers.

Then Mindy found a play Tartuffe at a cool outdoor beer garden called Reynolds Tavern. We were able to snag some seats and we loved it!!!

The bar is where George Washington hung out because they had gambling!

We loved the food and the play! Nick loved the dog someone brought once the play was over.

Tried to take some shots of the place outside afterwards but it wasn’t the best lighting.

Really enjoyable day!
Mindy won at Carcasonne tonight!
We’ll have to visit someday!
