Day sixty three @ Solomon’s Island Yacht Club, Solomon’s, MD

Another beautiful day in Maryland! It was relaxing and slow – and that is just what we needed. We headed over to Target again – picked up some things we forgot yesterday. Then we stopped by the Harris Teeter Store to see if it was better than the crude grocery store we shopped at yesterday. And it was fabulous!

Guess who these Quail Eggs made me think of…. wait for it…..

Martha and Frank!!!!

Miss those two kids!

Next up – we did the usual wine and craft beer tour of these parts. First we discovered Solomon’s Island Winery. Where we enjoyed the discussion of books with the tasting expert. She loves the author Jenny Lawson – she wrote Furiously Happy which I read and passed on to Giovanna. I guess I will have to buy her first book and she also has a recent book. Nothin like starting in the middle. Bought some great rosés wines from her!

Then we headed toward the Quality Inn – lol. Found a great spot called Anglers.

Got to hang out like a local.

I tried the Sea Bass with the Sous Vide tonight. It was soft and tender. Then we had a nice walk on the boardwalk near the pier to watch the sunset.

A little boy was yelling “the sky’s on fire!” Too cute! Once we got back to the boat our Harbor Host from AGLCA came by to say hello and also some Yacht club members came by to greet us. It was so nice! We exchanged cards and enjoyed meeting new friends!

Tomorrow Mindy arrives! Very excited!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
