Day sixty @ Fishing Bay Marina, Deltaville, VA

Good bye to our lovely Norfolk! We really enjoyed you!!!

On our way out the Elizabeth River we saw and heard a Submarine coming up the channel.

I was shocked when on channel 16 I heard a very official announcement. “This is the US Coast Guard, there is a submarine in the channel entering on the West side. Do not cross the bow of the submarine for any reason!”

Definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen! I felt like I was in the movie “Hunt for Red October”!!! Just massive and awe inspiring!

Once we arrived we were scurrying to get to the pool! It was unusually hot for a May afternoon in VA and we needed relief! Then it was time to try out the new Sous Vide I got on Amazon for the boat. It was easy peazy and the shrimp turned out delicious!

We had a nice cocktail with the birthday boy – Jeff! Got to hear about their experience with some bad fruit smoothies! Winding down our visit with our Martha and Frank I enjoyed another game of Carcassonne.

I am starting to get the strategy of the game. Nick needed a cigar.

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
