Day thirty seven @ The Westin Marina Spa & Golf Resort, Savannah, GA

Another great day on the Loop! After a terrific breakfast at The Westin then we headed to downtown Savannah. We started our own tour! A walking tour of all the breweries we could find. Starting with the Moon River Brewery. Don Olivieri would appreciate this tour!!!

The Bartender was very friendly and told us how the place was haunted. It had all these cool old beer cans on shelves near the ceiling. Next up we headed to Broughton Street where all the action supposed to exist.

Saw a Starbucks so I had to pop in, the boys went into a Ben & Jerrys for some ice cream.

And we met this friendly dog.

The Savannah Tavern was so cool! There Jack tried a Honey Cider and I got a citrus craft beer. Nick got a Blue Moon (wink).

It was a great spot that was partially owned by Ben Roethlisberger (Qtrback for the Steelers). Really friendly and fun employees! However, they sent us on a long walk to the next place….

Closed on Sundays!!!

But we loved walking around and around…..

We saw cool marble buildings.

And cake boss places!

And great architecture.

But hunger hit us and so we stopped at the first place with outdoor seating.

Mahi sliders and crab dip!

Then it was a walk to the ferry home to the boat.

Perfect timing for a second FaceTime with Grandma! Then a men’s chat on the back patio of the boat!

Sad to see him go. But it was a fabulous day! Love my soldier!

Then it was time for dinner. Jeff & Michelle were available so we hit The Olde Pink House which was recommended by a few friends who know Savannah.

Nick and Jeff worked their magic on the hostess “Z” and we got a table without having had a reservation.

The food was amazing! Jeff got the grilled oysters. And he was excited about them!

Michelle and I both ordered artichoke and goat cheese fritters. Delicious!

Then Jeff and I got the scored and de scaled flounder. The manager came out and said they were the only restaurant in the world that made flounder like that. I thought – what a bragger! But it was amazing!!! Mango marinade! Absolutely perfect!

Then walking back to the boats the sunset was so beautiful. It’s like the sky was on fire with color!

The evening was relaxing.

We used the back seating area to chat with Michelle and Jeff and drink a night cap. Jeff made me a delicious espresso martini! Here is the view off the back of the courthouse building when I sat down and when I got up.

Quote of the day: Just give him that and put an orange slice in it and he’ll think it’s a Blue Moon.

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
