Day twenty seven @ Camachee Island Marina Village, St. Augustine FL

Today we were tourists! We started out getting another rental car from Enterprise. The kid who picked us up was from Vermont. I am pretty sure he was a Bernie Sanders fan and I had a few things to say about that. Not sure he appreciated it as much as I enjoyed telling him. Lol. Once we got the car we were on our way to The World Golf Hall of Fame! So amazing! I really enjoyed this day and I wish I could go back again and again. I’m sorry for all the photos but this day was right in my sweet spot!

Right at the entrance I noticed a photo of Jan that our friend Marty would have enjoyed since he golfs with her occasionally.

There was a very large and complete section of Bob Hope and his contribution to golf.

The origins were also interesting to read up on and it was fascinating to see women and royalty into golf so early on!

This was a difficult putt! And the putters were old school wooden putters! The book below is one that reminds me of Jan A!!!Nick Galambos in First Place!!!

Girl Power!

The quote below from Gary Player is one of my favorite quotes. Nick and I say it all the time!

Next we tried the virtual golf – sooo fun. But the putting was really hard or maybe I just need more time on the greens.

Then we found our club Oakland Hills of Bloomfield Hills MI! I miss it! Can’t wait to go this summer and play the South!

Elevator ride down.

At the outdoor courtyard there was a tee area for a 145 yard shot to an island green. Nick and I both took a chance and we both went for a swim. This is the beautiful exit to the village. On our way to the fort.

Next stop was the Castillo de San Marcos – the Fort that Spain built to keep the British out of FL.

This was some prime real estate! Why don’t they sell it to a big developer?

The big guns!

Then I did some outdoor cooking. This was actually used to heat the cannonballs in order to set fire to the ships that they hit.

After the fort we found the nearest Irish pub to relax! Nick got Mac n Cheese.

At dinner the parking was scarce and Nick found one to LITERALLY squeeze into. His Paris parking skills came shining through!

Dinner was delicious and interesting!

Tonight is an early night! Lots to do in the morning.

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
