Got up early to head to the Westend which is our launching point to return to the US. It was a rough time. The seas were minimum 4ft and the reef we were driving past was huge! Turns out it’s the third largest reef in the world and it seems to eat boats. So we avoided it!

Upon arrival I was shocked at the narrow entrance to the marina. But Nick handled it fine. The wind picked up even more right then so he proceeded with caution. The Dockmaster gave us slip assignment C7 right next to Breakaway. Well that didn’t work out for us…. the wind kept blowing us down the way so the dockhand yelled to us to just take slip S10. It was crazy wind! We had almost every boat in the marina on their bow ready to protect their boat. It took 3 dockhands and Peedo and Jeff to get this puppy in S10!!! Once we were safely tied off I yelled to the dockhand, “We will tell you which slip we are taking!” Thank God Jeff knows my stupid humor and laughed. Once we were somewhat settled I checked my phone because it was going crazy with texts. It was friends and Mindy letting me know that Notre Dame in Paris was burning! I flipped on the news right away to see the horror of an iconic cathedral in flames. Very sad. I said a few prayers and hoped it would get under control quickly. Then it was pool time. I fixed a Jack n Diet and headed over.

They have a nice pool and beach. Even Ms Piggy (Michelle’s dog) enjoyed the sun and SHORE!
Quick apps after pool. No one was in a mood to cook so we took our appetite and went to the resort restaurant.

We couldn’t figure out how to share the boomeranged toast that Michelle did on Instagram. But don’t I look pretty in the background? Jeff called me pretty (don’t hate me because I’m beautiful Michelle).
We also heard from our friends on the Madame made it safely to Stuart and rented a car to get to Tampa quicker. A Captain will take the Madame to Tampa. Glad everyone is home safe!
This is the half game hen I ordered! When I was a kid my Mom used to make us whatever we wanted for our birthday dinner and I usually asked for Cornish game hens so that everyone could have their own little chickens.
Nick was a member of the clean plate club.

Hair to the right!
I could get used to the Bahamas!
Quote of the day: “Which Gilligan Island episode was your favorite?” “Are you still on Gilligans Island?” And…. “Which Monopoly piece was the one you picked when you were a kid?”
“Keep rocking it baby”
