Day eleven @ Chub Cay in Berry Islands, The Bahamas

What a relaxing day! This is definitely a premier spot! We spent the day at the pool with the entire group! We had the place to ourselves and we had Carlton to ourselves too! He waited on us hand to foot! Great guy! Here are some photos of the pool at Chub Cay.

So here is the story on the electric scooters. Schriers got 2 for their boat so we got 2 but we loved them so much we got 2 more for the house. Then we thought… let’s take all 4 on the boat for the trip and we lost one to salt water. Then Tom Bruno borrowed 1 today while we were all at the pool – as he was out on it, Barbi Bruno is sitting next to me checking out her phone and she laughs saying “well, Tom must like it because he just bought 2 for us”! Lol

Really fun day of doing nothing! Nick asked me what day it was, twice. Lol. Martha explained to me her famous quote about “I know what I’m doin’!” And Tom played backgammon with Rick at the bar (very 80’s)! It was a slightly cloudy day so it never got really hot. I loved the decor in the restaurant and restrooms so I took some photos to share.

Noticed the NatGeo’s for guests to read. How cool! I guess my parents and me aren’t the only people that save them!

Dinner was planned by Michelle for just the 4 of us at the restaurant here in Chub Cay. It was delicious! Nick and I shared the fresh catch which was Mahi! But I wasn’t gonna share my mint chocolate chip ice cream!

Nick & I had our separate ice cream!

Then we tried a group photo which Tom will send me soon and I’ll have to share later. But here is one of us herding cats to get the photo!

And then on the walk back we found this cool statue.

Nick gave a cigar to Tom Bruno the other day so now he’s out of cigars! But hey – you gotta share!

Tomorrow the forecast is rainy with a chance of family games.

Quote of the day goes to Michelle: “cheer to (what day is it. Idk).” Lol

Boat Issue: 4 scooter (3 now), 2 sets of golf clubs, tons of supplies, snorkel gear, back up soda (aka mixers), back up liquor, 4 bottles of champagne, and spare parts and we still have room in the garage of this boat!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!

  1. Really looks great. Is Nick still reading “Mrs. Kennedy and me” ? I’m about halfway thru that book myself. Love that the resort you’re at has stacks of Nat Geo to read. Enjoy. Looks terrific
