Day 4 @Hawks Cay

Day four started with a reminder from my doctor that my stitches were not dissolvable stitches and they had to be taken out. I’ve been to this rodeo before, and found that the most important thing to do is to have a true professional take out the stitches. Teri and I took an Uber to marathon to find a walk-in clinic that would do the nasty deed of taking the stitches out. I was told the healing was not quite done yet and needed to keep the wound dry for the next couple of days which is always challenging in the keys and in the Bahamas.

We got back to Hawk’s Cay in time for some R & R and then off to the restaurant with the Bayside group to have dinner and watch the Bolts play a relatively Meaningless game against the Canadians. The restaurant did not have a FOX Sports Sun from Tampa and Tom Bruno decided that he Could take control of the TV and have a hotspot that put the game on for us.

Despite the bolts loss, a great time was had by all and we have decided to sleep in and do nothing early tomorrow.

We did get a chance to take the “add on” out from the swim platform and run it all around duck Key. The add on performed remarkably well considering it was the first time I actually got to run the dinghy and I’m sure it will get easier as our adventure continues.

Looking forward to more shenanigans tomorrow.

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
