We have to get off the catamaran today. This is a sad day as we have had the time of our lives!!! After eating another big breakfast we were excited to go to see what Split had to offer!

Saying good bye was very difficult! Mala will be on our minds for a long time! We will miss her and the crew!

Let’s explore the beautiful seaside town of Split! It is Croatias second largest town by population and it is a popular vacation destination.

Looks like Split has a film festival going on right now.

Split is a quaint old town with lots of narrow and winding streets and alleys to explore. But be careful it’s easy to get lost!

Not a lot of stores were open on Sunday afternoon but we tried!!

The old town had lots of tourist searching for the next coolest item. We stumbled upon a courtyard in front of the church (St Dominus ) and their were college student posing in old Roman soldiers costumes. They request donations. Most were giving them 5€ for the pleasure to pose and take photos.

Beneath the church there was an old tunnel now being used for retail shops.

Below is some of the oldest portion of the wall that surrounds the Old Diocletian Palace. It is more than 1,700 years old. There are four gates. Golden Gate, Silver Gate, Bras Gate and Iron Gate.

The square in front of the Cathedral is called Peristyle and it got really busy so we left on our next great quest! The Quest for the grail!

We found a spot for cocktails!

We pick a fabulous boutique hotel at the Judita Palace Heritage Hotel. Nick upgraded us and it was well with it! We had a beautiful private balcony.

After we got settled we hit the street again for shopping and lunch.

The Game of Thrones Museum didn’t impress us so we took a pass.

Happy hour with some nice charcuterie on our big balcony!

We were laughing so much that the friendly hotelier Andy took our photo and laughed at us from above!

We found a nice restaurant on the boardwalk near the water. This large walkway reminded me of Nice, France or Miami Beach. Very lively with lots of young people!
