6/2/23 – Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom

Although our double decker bus was for 48 hours we decided to play it slow and easy and just enjoy the weather and the locals.

We grabbed a spectacular lunch at this little Italian restaurant where all the employees had heavy Italian accents and so Nick spoke some Italian to them! Solo una piccola quantita!

Nick is on beer today. I guess the whiskey was tough on him.

Inside the restaurant was like being transported to Rome!

Best bathroom signs ever!!!

The shopping in Cardiff is second only to London in the UK! And I found a TJ Maxx!

Finally we met up with Martyn and Jayne and Tom! All we need it Barbi!!! Unfortunately, she’s dealing with a difficult travel day. There is a train worker strike and so everyone is driving on the roads – hence had to get an Uber.

I found the best Whiskey place and the lovely lady in there directed me to a Gin flavored with Strawberry and Hibiscus! It is delicious!

I hit this card shop where locals make the artistic cards and some of the shop workers as well!
Barbi got here! Drinks on the patio – actually this is right where I left the boys a few hours prior.

Suddenly the boys all rally with Martyn, his brother and some Welsh friends to go see the Yacht Club. The women got to hang back and relax. When the men showed up we shut down the hotel bar! These Welsh never stop! Hard to keep up – my liver needs a break already!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
