Our last morning on the balcony of our favorite hotel with our favorite view! We ordered some croissants and coffee and just relaxed before heading out to Aix-en-Provence.

We got there earlier then they did so they directed us to a cute small town nearby to have a drink and enjoy while we waited on them.
In the center of the village is the delightful 16th century Place des Arcades. This central square is surrounded on all four sides by picturesque arcades, café terraces and little shops.

We had a few drinks but walking around Valbonne was wonderful! It is a small town that is set up on a grid presumably layer out by the Romans. With each corner we turned we’re more shops and restaurants.

And then I saw it! The sign said “Your English Bookstore”!!! I had finished my book and wanted to grab another! I asked the bookseller if she had anything in the Historical Fiction section. I was pleased to hall out with 32 new books and 3 used!

Once we met up with Paul we followed him in the car to his home in Aix-en-Provence. We all had to stop at an Oasis for some coffee and fuel. The pictures below show the Oasis upgrading their place!
