10/03/22 – Sirmione, Italy

The day started with a lovely coffee and quietly reading my book while overlooking Lake Guarda. We decided we’d utilize the free bikes at the resort and ride around to discover more of the area.

The book is historical fiction about a leper colony in Louisiana. Very sad how these people were treated!!!
There was nothing here but the view.

The Swiss and Italian Alps are in the background!

Nick found his next car!
Street vendor with awesome smoothies!!!

Once we got to the castle we were in aw of how perfect it looked! The castle was built in the middle of the 14th century and was intended it to be used as a defensive post for the entire territory of Verona and its surroundings, over which the Della Scala family ruled between 1259 and 1387.

As we walked around we saw Murano glass jewelry everywhere!

The souvenirs were awesome!

I couldn’t pass this up! I bought one of these adorable handbags!
We stopped for lunch and the puppy greeted us!

As usual – Nick always picks the best dishes!!!

Clean plate Club!
I got pistachio and Nick got strawberry.
The dogs of Sirmione.

After we regrouped back at the hotel we went the opposite way of the castle to find dinner and we got really lucky with this spot!!!

My fish is under all that salt.

After dinner we rolled back to the hotel.

What a fabulous day!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
