10/02/22 – Sirmione, Italy

This morning Veronica and Manuel arrived and we quickly grabbed the hotel free bikes to ride around Sirmione. It’s a beautiful peninsula that shoots out in Lake Guarda. It’s a great place to ride bikes. We had to park them to go inside the castle walls. The Scaligero Castle is one of Italys best preserved castle.

Inside the castle walls is an entire beautiful illage. We walked and shopped and enjoyed the mysterious and dreamlike atmosphere.

How a car drives these streets (let alone with the crowds) I will not understand!!!
Very cool picture with a beautiful example of 14th century castle. It was constructed by the Della Scala family who once ruled Verona.

Lunch with a view! Since the castle is on the southern most part of Lake Guarda it has some of the most spectacular views!

I had the Gazpacho!
Selfie with the bride!

We headed back to the hotel to enjoy the pool and mineral water pool!

It was a quick trip and they had to get back to Milo their puppy.

We ended up just doing lasagna room service. It was delicious!!!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
