We arrive in Milano Airport. All Italian Airport apparently were designed by the same guy. This Milano Airport is crazy!

But then we got to our hotel! It was fabulous and in a great location. The Rosa Grand Milano is just off the main area but in a kinda quiet place. It is designed in a fashionable Nuevo way.

The views were totally worth the prices in the cafe! Then it was time for the tour of the Cathedral. The tour started climbing to the rooftop!!! I was so surprised how many people were on the roof. If you go to Milan I recommend the rooftop of the Cathedral as a MUST SEE! Not only for the views but also an up close and personal look at the buildings architecture. The mini stayed and elaborate decorations are worth the climbing! The cathedral was commissioned in 1385 to replace the one that existed on that sight. Construction started in 1386 and has not stopped since. Because of the white marble chosen for the exterior – it must be repaired and replaced all the time.

This is one of the largest Cathedrals in the world. Larger than St Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City.

Next up was the Galleria. So many shops and so little time!

You are supposed to put your heal on the bulls nuts and spin around. I did it wrong – but I did like the attention!
After we decided on a tour of the Opera House and Music Museum. It was so worth it!
