Day 13 – 6/16/22 – Birmingham, MI – Summer Road-trip

Today was a great day visiting with friends. We met up with David when we noticed him driving around in his MacLaren in Birmingham. He joined us at 220 Merrill for a cocktail while we waited for Tom and Marcia.

For the evening we had a play planned. Cranbrook is a local private school and I found online that they held plays and musicals in an outdoor Greek theater. Not sure why it’s called Greek Theater when I read that it was modeled after a theater in the ruins near Taormina, Sicily ITALY!!! The theater was built in 1915 and has been utilized for festivals, plays, musicals and even the schools commencement.

Back stage area.
Something Rotten was a great play about writers in the time of Shakespeare.

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
