Day 19 – 5/13/22 – Stock Island Marina Village, Stock Island, Key West, FL

Friday the 13th! It’s gonna be a fun day! Nancy and Jed arrive soon

We had some last minute cleaning to do then we relaxed on the boat and just enjoyed our view! Since we rented the car it was easy peasy to pick up Jed & Nancy! We let them get settled and had happy hour on the boat!

First cocktail in Key West for the Shillings!

We headed to our dinner reservations and walked past this place! Definitely something we have to tour someday – just not today.

Our dinner reservations were for First Flight. The building is a historic site, it is the building of the offices is Pan American World Airways. Founded in 1927, Pan Am was the principal and largest airline carrier from 1927 to 1991. It set the standard for air travel as we know it. They did mail and passenger flights from the beginning and a frequent flyer to Cuba from Key West.

After dinner it was time to check out Duval Street!

Sloppy Joes always has live music! But it’s famous for being a Hemingway hang out!

Famous photo in front of Sloppy Joes!

As we headed to our next stop – Nick kept dancing.

Gotta hit Fat Tuesdays – it’s a favorite of mine!

Once we took a taxi back to the boat Nancy commented that she’s never really seen the boat from its side. Aquasition is impressive!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
