Day 6 – 4/31/22 – SouthSeas Marina, Captiva Island, FL

The plan was to leave it open for the possibility of making it all the way from SPYC to Stock Island Marina in Key West. We just didn’t know if we wanted to try and make the entire way so we headed out before sunrise!

So long St Pete!
Goodbye St Pete Pier!
The Skyway Bridge never gets boring!

We had to decide if it was going to be worth the work of a long haul to Key West. After much debate we chose to duck in and enjoy SouthSeas Resort for a bit. Nick was able to secure a golf cart and we docked with ease in one of our favorite marinas!

Lunch view!

We jumped off and enjoyed a great day at the pool. They had two bird people at the pool with a beautiful hawk and they had whips they were cracking! It was strange until we found out it was to keep other birds away from the tourist! Great day and simple evening eating some grilled chicken on the Aquasition!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
