Day 230 @ Sandestin Baytowne Marina, Miramar Beach, Florida – The Great Loop

11/14/19

So today was a very cold day! We moved to the fuel dock and topped off both tanks. The wind was crazy and it started to rain just as we got there. We had the ok from the Dockmaster to stay the night on the fuel dock since we were planning on leaving tomorrow for Carrabelle.

I was going to make spaghetti in the Instant Pot until I realized I didn’t have sauce. So I made chili instead. Best chili I think I’ve ever made. Tomorrow – back to eastern time zone.

This was our last night at Sandestin. What a great spot. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing Nick’s partner Dave and his wife Tierney who lived very close by. We also loved Greg and Annette’s visit and learned of what a great spot this area is to visit. I’m sure we will be back.

Seeing Jack was such an added bonus! He looks great, loves what he is doing and is very happy. I’m just glad he did the long drive from Augusta GA to spend time with his mom ❤️

Two more legs to go in this trip. A 150 mile run to Carrabelle and then a 230 mile run across the gulf to our home at the Tampa Waterside Marriott!

It’s been a hell of a trip so far! We are looking forward to completing the last 2 legs without any serious complications

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
