Day 229 @ Sandestin Baytowne Marina, Miramar Beach, Florida – The Great Loop

11/13/19

The rain left us and we just had the cold to deal with today. During the past few days, the A/C on the Aquasition has not gotten much use – – but we sure are glad that the heaters work – – a toasty 75 degrees inside.

We got the electric scooters out and took the side path from the marina to the village shops. This photo was a great view of the marina. Such a beautiful boardwalk path! There was a dog park right near the marina which I’m sure many boaters love! Then we came upon several tree houses.

Coffee stop! Nick is such a trooper. We went to the cute little coffee shop for me to relax with a cup of joe and my book. Nick watched sports highlights and news. Then we went to the other shopping area near the Publix. I went to a few gift stores and the William Sonoma store.

Cute gift shop with a decent size book shop inside!

We enjoyed some baked brie and wine at the Wine Bar near the Publix then headed back. And dinner was leftovers on the boat!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
