Day 226 @ Sandestin Baytowne Marina, Miramar Beach, Florida – The Great Loop

11/10/19

It was great to wake up and have Jack with me. It’s been tough thinking about never seeing Mom again.

First stop the Truman Show!!!

Seaside, FL was the perfect planned town! My brother the Architect commented on Facebook that it was the first planned community with a master plan.

Such a beautiful community!

And then I found Elf! I wanted to spend time in the toy store but no one else agreed with me.

The beach was probably the most perfect beach set up I’ve ever seen! There were several cafes and food trucks and bars along the beach access area.

We tried to get a shot of the beach but it’s hard to show the beautiful turquoise color. It was indescribable to realize the water being so clean and beautiful that is mirrors the Caribbean Sea!

The grocery store was quaint and had a photo of the Truman Show on the wall.

Then we drove to Rosemary Beach and this planned community was like weird. I couldn’t decide if I liked it. Just very strange and unique architecture. Not sure if it will stand the test of time.

Once we got to Rosemary Beach, Greg told us how he once knew Rosemary! We decided this was the most gorgeous spot of all!

It had a very European feel! I just loved the adorable shops! Again there was a toy store and clothing shop then across the street (30A) were more shops!

We also checked out the beach.

And this building was The Pearl hotel. I’d love to come back and stay here someday!

We had another snack at a wine bar in Rosemary Beach. Then we headed over to grab pizza here we called it a night.

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
