This morning started early with Mom needing help. So I got over there right away and left Nick to deal with packing. I found Mom laying flat on her back! Which makes it tough to breathe with her COPD. We moved her up and then three nurses come in the room to help with the Hoyer Lift. She was very nervous and scared, she didn’t want to do it. But Denise was calm and reassuring. Mom also felt safe because John was there. John is Moms wound specialist. So the three worked carefully and methodically and got Mom in the wheelchair safely. She was happy and everything was good! I dubbed our successful team the dream team of the Hoyer Lift!

Then Mom and I went to breakfast. As we came back we decided to go for a walk and see the Halloween pumpkin display and contest. Theresa came to visit just as we were leaving. We went and voted for her favorite team. The progress on the renovations were going well. Once we got back the new mattress arrived and Mom was happy. Even though it didn’t look as if it would fit the bed Denise asked them to set it up and low and behold – it fit!
Soon it was 12:30 and we had to leave for the airport. I got very unlucky and had to go in the regular line while Nick got through TSA quickly.

A reminder of why the airport is called Midway – the battle of the Midway!!!
Then we had some entertainment! These ladies were singing and dancing to get attention for their store.
They brought a smile to my face! I’d love them at one of our karaoke parties!
We get to go from Midway Airport to Nashville Airport to Pensacola Airport. Then we are renting a car to get back to the boat. Good night! Whew!
