Day 193 @ Clifton Marina, Clifton, Tennessee – The Great Loop Boat Trip

10/8/19

We started the day early but didn’t decide to leave Paris Landing until like 10:30am. But still, we knew our next stop would be just as great.

We saw many Loopers out there on Kentucky Lake and the Tennessee River.

It seems difficult to get a good photo of your boat therefore I always try and snap photos of other boaters and get them to the owners. You never know when the perfect picture appears in you camera! Then I got a very special photo texted to me from a friend.

The scenery today was beautiful! It felt like a little bit of carved rocks and a whole lotta greens! With just a smidge turning for the fall color burst.

These photos do not do this area justice! It’s definitely something you have to experience. Like the motorcycle videos that Tom shared with us last week – they are amazing but being there is hard to describe.

With all the Loopers about the VHF radio was lit with talk and helpful hints. At one point we were heading around a drastic curve in the river and a barge we coming our direction. Had we not had a heads up we might have been blind sided. Just look at this bend!

Crazy! Yet stunning!

And here is the Aquasition navigating this river!!!

Once we got close we called and secured our spot next to Seahorse, Lucky Me and Mimi & Me! All of us had dinner cooked to perfection by Stacy here at Clifton Marina. Stacy is a closet chef! She needs her own official restaurant! The food was awesome but the company was even better! Love all these fun Loopers!

Song of the day: Rollin down the river!!!!

Quote of the day: See that dog, I love that dog.

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
