Breakfast was an Egg in a Hole!

Then we headed out in the rental car for Paducah! We went with low expectations. But also some good craft beer recommendations! We passed this broken down restaurant patio and it turns out it’s not closed!

Then we found statues of Lewis and Clark with a flag/quilt?!?

This plaque told of how Lewis bought his dog for $20 but the entire county where Paducah sits he paid only $5. Why is that something to engrave on a plaque and commemorate in the very town that got cheated?

The boys left us! Yes, Tom signed us up for the membership and the personalized guided tour then ditched us for some craft beer. I personally think the boys missed out!

This was the 9/11 quilt.

It was really more of an ART Museum than Quilts!!!

Did this guy even know there is a book and a movie about this famous painting of “The Girl with The Pearl Earring”!!!
Then the Mona Lisa – she looked a total mess until you put her in your camera.

Really all these quilts looked kinda messy until you held your camera up. The curator told us how the reduction of light through the camera allows us to see more of the shading and less of the colors. Which brings the shapes out brilliantly!

This was a personal favorite! I believe he is copying Degas.

Hard to describe. This is what you see when you walk up to the quilt. Then put your camera up and…

We really loved this one it’s a location in the south of France.

Then Barbi found her favorite one!
I just couldn’t pick
This was very beautiful!

I loved the miniatures!

Then we caught up with the boys at Shandies.

But the boutique was calling!!! It was the B Boutique! B for Barbi? Or Bestie? I spotted this right away and almost bought them!

So fun! I think we possibly over paid for Paducah.

Just a great and adorable Main Street!

We got back to the boat and the boys needed a nap and the girls went shopping! Grand Rivers had some cute shops!
Just like my Grandma Klinkner used to make.
That is a John Wayne cookie jar. I’m pretty sure this is the only place in the world that sells this item.
This was playing! It reminds me of the player piano we had in our basement as a kid!

This was like a small village! And everyone was in 1800’s costumes.

Once we got back to the boat the Commonwealth Yacht Club sounded like a good stop for drinks and dinner.
Hot Brown?

After dinner Nick was in need of some Airborne to try and stop this cold he was getting. But he wouldn’t wait for it to dissolve!

We had to play the boys in Spades again because we won last night. The boys won this time.
Quote of the day: Period costumes has nothing to do with menstruation.
