Bruno’s are coming!!! After a quick breakfast we finished several chores to get the boat cleaned up and then we had lunch. PB&J was the only thing on the menu! And I was proud on my thick layer of peanut butter!

There were a few items that we needed so we took the golf cart to town and shopped the Village Market.

Right in the parking lot of the Market was Bette’s Herb Garden. The sign says free so I took some basil. Usually we were able to find something like this free Herb Garden at the Marina’s we stay at but this was in the Village Market parking lot? A bit unusual spot for it.
Here are some of the quaint local shops.

The way back home was quick-I took a video of it and it’s only 5 seconds!
Here they are!!! And they brought wine! They landed in Nashville and picked up their rental car, then they put in their GPS to find a wine shop and it kept trying to take them back to the airport. They eventually got out of BNA.

They also came prepared for some heavy drinking.
Sunset cruise on Lake Barkley.

For dinner we went to the only restaurant in town. It turns out it was opened only a few months ago. Luckily the bartender knew how to pour drinks!

The place was named after Thomas Lawson who tried to establish the town of Grand Rapids as a steel powerhouse. This never happened however Kentucky once was the 3rd largest producer of coal. Lawson made his millions in copper back in Boston where he lived most of his life. The menu had a bit of information about him and in an earlier blog of mine I had found a granite Memorial to him in town. He was definitely the most famous person this town has produced.

The decor in the place was adorable! This is the ladies bathroom.
I call this Period Bathroom.

The ride back was hilarious! I think we got a flat!
