Day 162 @ Chicago Yacht Club, Chicago, Illinois – The Great Loop Boat Trip

What a great day!!!!

We started by preparing for a day of friends and family on the boat!

The bar was stocked and Martha was a huge help getting sandwiches for everyone! We had MaryBeth on the boat and she was reconnecting with Bram.

Don & Mindy were there too enjoying the crowd!

Then Robert showed up! He really stole the show with his magnetic personality!

Larry and Beth came to join in the fun! And Paul also had a great time checking things out and toasting to the great day!

The weather started clearing so we decided to take the boat out!

So we set sail for a three hour cruise. There were many sail boats out on Lake Michigan that day! This one was interesting.

The crew was laying down on the job!

It was really wonderful to see the city skyline like this! You can see Buckingham fountain here and the CNA building (red building) and behind that the Sears Tower.

Then Auntie Teri got some Robert attention! Love this bright young man!

Then the Captain needed a rest.

As the evening wore on we got down to the core group.

Then it was a quick tour of the CYC so they could all be introduced to the goat!

But this was just the start. You see there was also a wedding celebration going on at the CYC and we really enjoyed the live band!

Crazy yacht karaoke!!!

And of course we met up and convinced these wedding guests to help us do a selfie with the beautiful bride!

And guess what?! They did it! Here is our Second Chicago Selfie with the Bride!!!!

Then everything else was just a let down. We tried to party without the bride but it just wasn’t the same. So we ran on the boat and got our visors and told new (other) guests to get the bride and groom so we could give them these cool hats. This pretty lady named Katie was successful for us!

Yep! We did this… and my big bro was in on the whole thing too!

Such a fun night! This is what happens on a boat!!!

Could we have danced and partied more? I mean we were goofing off later than the wedding party!
