Day 146 @ Manitowoc Marina, Manitowoc, Wisconsin – The Great Loop Boat Trip

What a day! Waking up in Wisconsin! We got off to a great start. Annette & Greg went for a walk into town while Dave drove by them to get to the hardware store. He was getting me the foam lining for my freezer! What a great guy! Then we organized and got down on the docks and headed out! Saying good bye to our new friends was very hard! They really know how to enjoy life! Living every moment to the fullest! We are really grateful for their friendship and hospitality!

Now just the girls!

I really felt loved by these beautiful people! If anyone asks what the best spot is on the loop my answer will always be…

Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin! ♥️

We will see you in Fort Lauderdale my friends! Love you both!!!!

Next up – beautiful Lake Michigan. This is the portion of Sturgeon Bay that was man made.

Once we were out on Lake Michigan it was gorgeous! The scenery was spectacular! Once we arrived at Manitowoc Marina and found our spot we brought out the bike and scooters!

And we loved the small town feel of Manitowoc!

Then under the bridge and through the path and we found the famed wine bar!!!

It was a great spot with a server who was also a White Sox fan! On the way home we found this sad little dog that wouldn’t move.

We also found this beauty! Annette had never seen the honor system for boat launch ramps.

And the lighthouse was so cute!

Dessert was complements of Dave & Peggy – cantaloupe and Culver’s frozen custard.

Quote of the day: I miss Stugeon Bay! – Said by all 4 of us!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
