Day 136 @ Sister Bay Marina, Sister Bay, Wisconsin – Great Loop Boat Trip

We weren’t sure what time we needed to head out. But it turned out earlier that originally expected. Making my postcards a priority gets them in the mail! Dropped a bunch off at the Frankfort post office before we headed out. What a cute old post office!

Then – surprise – this Mineral Spring was in the park and I don’t know how I missed it before.

And the garden next to it was lovely. So we got a move on it and headed to the fuel docks, where we topped off and pumped out. I dropped some chemicals in the black tank and put about 4 gallons of water in and we were ready to go! First stop – Kerrigan North. This video is from Frank and Deb! Miss them already!

Lake Michigan calling…

It was a very calm crossing! Did not see one other vessel for about 3 hours. Lost cellular and radio (as always happens in open water and that far off shore).

Land ho! Once we saw some land we were happy!

On Wisconsin!

These two were having fun!

I got a video. I’m going to have to try this someday!

Once we docked we went looking around the marina.

Then Sister Bay…

Nick found a pub – Husbys. It’s been there for years!

I found something for us to do later.

Nick seemed totally into it!

It was a great class. Here is my view. I was in front so I could enjoy the water.

Not sure if he’s following the instructor.

But the sunset part was awesome!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
