Day 135 @ Frankfort Municipal Marina, Frankfort, Michigan – Great Loop Boat Trip

We woke up to the sound of nothing! It was so peaceful and serene! Sitting on the back we sipped our coffee and pondered what the day had in store for us! We said farewell to our new friends Megan and Alex as they headed out toward Cincinnati! Their boat is so pretty. Here it is at the fuel docks.

Then we saw a few Loopers arriving so we went over to say hello. One was Big from Apollo Beach FL. His name is Sandy and he works with Jeff. So ironic! Then chatted up with Linda and Donna – some local Michigan boaters that were giving advice on some nice stops in Michigan and Wisconsin.

Frank and Deb swung by the boat to get their car we had borrowed last night. And soon Nick got his scooter to show Frank. We had Frank and Deb try out the scooters- – more than likely they will be an addition to the Kerrigan Class A motor home!

We found a great sandwich shop and it reminded me of Alec and Diana – not sure why.

After eating half of a huge sandwich – Nick wanted to go back to the boat and sleep and I went around looking for a slice of history. And that is never very far away.

Everybody has a story and they want to put it on a plaque or a sign. When I found the Family Fare grocery store I grabbed a few items I needed and headed back along the bike path next to the water.

Soon Deb and Frank came back to the boat for dinner.

We always have fun solving the worlds problems and learning more about the Kerrigans. Dinner was Salmon on the grill, with rice and zucchini made in the tiny rice cooker along with cucumber and tomato and feta salad and apps of deviled eggs and smoked fish. Great night!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
