Day 107 @ Trent Port Marina, Trenton, Ontario

New boat guests! Our great friends Lowell and Jean flew in to Toronto and drove a rental this morning in to Trenton, they arrived around 4am! But they arrived safe and sound! It was a calm morning and Lowell and Nick took the rental car back to Belleville and collected some provisions!

You know in Canada they don’t sell Beer in the grocery store, nor in the drug stores, and not in the convenience stores. Not even in the discount store or in the gas stations. They only sell it at the beer stores. lol.

Got to catch up with my bff

And she brought me a favorite from Tampa! The salad dressing for the 1905 salad at the Columbia restaurant! So then we made big lunches for the boys and headed to the National Aviation Museum.

We got a great tour of the first level.

There was a very cool collection of airplanes outside too but Lowell and Nick became disinterested when they found out they couldn’t use the golf carts. But Jean did give us a good example of foolishness with leaves.

So then the boys played dress up.

We followed suit.

What a great spot! I think both of our grown men thought they were 14 again!

We actually learned a lot from Lowell since he had seen and used most of these items!

My favorite part was at the end the had a cool book that talked about each pilots story in WWII.

Once we got back to the marina, we were able to find ice cream right away – which was cool!

I don’t know how many times I told Nick that they don’t have Maple Walnut ice cream. I guess that they have it in Canada.

We did some serious goofing off all evening and decided to have a cheesy dinner.

Then the boys wanted to play with the …. wait for it…. tender.

So we went over and found out friends the Honey Badger. How fun! They were too sweet to let us crash their boat!

Getting back to the boat was fun! Luckily the best First Mate ever grabbed the flashlight.

Full moon on the Honey Badger!

Watch out! My Mom used to say that all the crazies are out on a full moon!

Full moon over the Aquasition!

Off to bed – early day tomorrow and at least 6 locks!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
