Little fact about Kingston: This is Canada’s oldest community and first capital. It began as a fur trading spot but soon became known as the “Limestone City” because of all the buildings made from local Limestone.
Nick and I started out our day at a cute coffee shop right on the main drag!

We did run into some very young demonstrators. Not sure how educated they are – Nick engages them and it was sad.
The flowers everywhere were gorgeous!
Here are some of those historic and beautiful Limestone buildings!

I really should own this drinking spot!
We saw the oldest and cutest pharmacy ever!
Then came the churches! St Andrews Presbyterian Church was built in 1820s and was the heart of the Presbyterian Church of Canada. This church became the catapult that launched Queens University in Kingston.

Gorgeous! It was inspired by the Italian architecture at that time but the congregation was more closely held to the Scottish immigrants.
Just a half a block away you can see the Catholic Church.

This is likely where Nicks Aunt Sarah worshiped. As we walked around the block we found the Catholic Hospital where Aunt Sarah worked as a pharmacist.

We also spotted a building that was looking run down but some renovations seemed to be starting.
Then Nick saw this sign and we had to stop.

It was a beautiful day to walk and discover such an historic town! I just love Kingston!
