Day 101 @ Port d’escale Marina, Montréal, QC

It was such a glorious morning! Woke up from a smooth and quiet nights sleep – definitely one of the best on this trip – and saw the water as glass! Said au revoir to Sorel!

We saw so much nature and beauty on this run but again I had to photograph the homes!

Then we came upon some strange building and Terry explained them to us. This is a grain elevator.

This looks as if a freighter is filling with grain.

That is the Olympic Park in the distance.

Then I think they contemplated the roller coaster for a moment.

Coors in Quebec.

As

Montréal.

In our marina a family of Ducks welcomed us!

Beautiful day for a walk through Montréal.

Nick May have found his next toy.

Then we let the boys find some Cuban cigars while they used the city bikes and Raquel and I went shopping.

We didn’t find much but stopped for a sweet iced coffee drink! This local favorite was kind enough to make ours to order!

We found the boys having beers without us. Lol

This town it filled with old buildings and art!

After a long day we headed back to the boat to freshen up and find out dinner spot Foxys. Foxys was recommended by the amazing young man that served us in Sorel.

The Uber ride was very funny.

Then we wandered around Old Montréal and enjoyed the evening dancers and musicians!

Then it was time for fumbling Teri to try and do a group selfie. Little did I know I’d have to climb up a statue to get in the photo.

A sweet local saw our struggle and tried to help but she forgot the statue.

Fountain right next to us.

Then we were on the Ben and Jerry’s all the way from VT

Quote of the day: After Nick and Terry rode bikes for 10 miles to find a cigar store 6 blocks away Terry said his blood pressure went up and Nick said “Exercise is supposed to bring your blood pressure down.” Terry replied with “But that kind of biking brought it up!”

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
