So this was an awesome time discovering Burlington VT! It’s a very walking friendly town but we took out the electric scooters. There is a wide and protected bike and walking trail that crosses the driveway of our marina. We took that to town and found some huge mountains to climb! But we made it to Church Street. First order of business was to grab lunch. We found this spot for a great sandwich and a beautiful view!
Then zipped around Church Street and found a Starbucks!

I guess I’m missing my bestie.
Burlington was a key port of entry for trade after the completion of the Champlain Canal in 1823.
Beautiful church!

Very historic place!

Went into a home store and saw this – for a moment I thought about buying it.

I really loved this sign but even more so, the people in the back sitting on ski chairlifts.

Then I found Crow Bookshop.

And of course we partook in the Ben and Jerry’s tradition!

On the way back we saw a beautiful mural on the side a building.

One more stop for coffee and a potty break brought about this photo. I’m so sorry about this but I can’t believe how stupid people can be! This is the worst soap dispenser placement I have ever seen!!!

Got back to the boat and Found our new friends on D dock with us!!! For Pete’s Sake! It was Jen and Pete, they did Essex in one day and wanted more of an adventure so they headed towards Burlington! Luckily Jen knew of an French restaurant that turned out to be amazing!

Really French looking too!

I got the mussels! Delicious!

Then we spotted The Whiskey Room and had to check it out!

We had such a great discussion about books!!!!

Really fun night getting to know our new friends! Such a great time! Drinks again back on the Aquasition!
Song of the day: The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. By Gordon Lightfoot (A favorite of the dinner group!)
Love Burlington! You could rent a car and go to my old stopping ground Warren/Waitsfield!🤗
