What a crazy day!
So the parts didn’t arrive but the mechanics did and that was fun.
So we had the mechanic put an AC outlet in the cockpit and the service manager said it wasn’t covered under warranty.

But we need the outlet there because the manufacturer didn’t put one there and we need to put a back up freezer there. Which the broker told us to get a back up freezer and he’d pay for it.
Then the service manager said he didn’t know the parts that were difficult to find were never left on the boat in Annapolis. But we told him that when it happened and we told the broker that. We also told him that the mechanic here would come to fix things on Saturday if the parts arrived. No one could seem to find a tracking number and they thought the parts might arrive Saturday but they never showed up. Turns out that the parts were shipped next day air which does not get delivered on Saturdays only weekdays.

So then the parts arrive and the 2 mechanics pull the fridge and freezer out and both mechanics tell us that both fridge and freezer are broken but we only have one part to fix one.

So then the mechanics got on the phone to Vitrifrigo and they said that they should fix the freezer. But the mechanic said there were 2 fans and usually only 1 fan is on this unit. So one fan is old and busted and the second fan is installed backwards. So the fix that was done in April was actually making the freezer worse. They removed the broken fan and turned the good fan the right way Then they installed a new compressor and it seemed to make the freezer work. Then they put the new fan on the fridge and that seemed to work fine. Then they explained it all.
I know more about refrigerators than I care to know.
Then I noticed new scratches on the floor.

Not fun. But my food can get cold. Except that all my food is bad from being Luke warm for 3 days. So I took an inventory of the food and threw it away. I asked the service guy at Tome George Yacht Sales what he would advise me to do and he said I wouldn’t buy a backup fridge – I would just throw it all away. Nick walked up 3 bags of food and still didn’t get everything.
Next we got cleaned up and met Honey Badger (Deborah and Kurt) for drinks at the Golden Nugget. Forgot to get a photo.
Feeling lucky we hit the blackjack table.
Then a nice movie and quiet night on the back of the boat.
Lots of fog so you couldn’t see the strawberry moon.

The harder I work the luckier I get.

Wow! Hope it works now for you! They should come fix the scratches. If this fix doesn’t work now i’d have them replace the fridge and freezer. Do you still have the Yetti?
