Day fifty three @ Dowry Creek Marina, Belhaven, NC

So ya say you got some bugs in the Outer Banks. Lol.

Left our quaint spot in Beaufort NC – a stop that seems all Loopers love!

Just adorable! And the marina and people in the restaurant/bar were super awesome! Definitely a great stop!

The ICW was some of the most desolate and quiet of all I’ve seen so far!

I really love the ride! It’s a great way to unwind and just be with nature! Speaking of nature. This happened yesterday at 1:59am.

It’s become a cat house in our absence. Lmao!!!!

Upon approach we said we didn’t need fuel – which we didn’t. So we docked in our slip. Everything is new here! Talked to Steve the owner. Jeff is the Dockmaster and I think they are all related. They were both telling me about their cousin who is a dentist and has really great bourbon. Sounds like my kinda Dentist – right up my alley! Great guys!

Did a FaceTime with Mom tonight! Can’t wait for her to get my flowers! They are in the shape of a teddy bear! Miss you Mom! Oh and Nick and I picked up our Gin games again. We will have to see if this continues.

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!

  1. OMG, you are directly across the Pamilico River from where I grew up! Does everyone sound like me, or what?
