Someone once said Happiness is a choice. I wake up with joy in my heart everyday and I look for it in everyone I meet that day. I must say that today wasn’t hard. Nick zipped over to the Golf Cart rental place and got us a golf cart for the day! We got on our new shirts that really define our day together!
And headed out for the Wine & Craft Beer Tour of Southport!
First stop was a little place off the Main Street called Uncorked by the Sea! We joined some ladies inside that started without us so we decided to catch up!

Next stop we had to get some food in us. And this place looked perfect! Dry Street Pub & Pizza had wonderful pizza (or maybe it was good because of all the wine).

It has perfect southern charm for a pizza pub joint!

Then – we didn’t have to look far and we spotted a wine bar just across the street!

And it was more Rosé!
We met this strong southern gentleman! He was with his girl and enjoying life!
This is a golf cart kinda place! Most of the locals are in golf carts or bikes! They have the best coffee in the state of North Carolina here so we decided it was time to get some after all that wine and beer. We found a spot that opened just for Nick and he got on their famous wall and I hit the head.

We circled back to the Aquasition to drop off the wine bottles we bought and met up with the boat washer guy – he was finishing and did a great job! Then we took a golf cart tour of the downtown area that we hadn’t seen yet.

Everyone here talks with a bigger southern accent than people South of Atlanta! We were told that if we say y’all a ton people will assume we belong here.

We tried to go to this Christmas shop place but it closed for the day. Nick seemed upset.
This spot didn’t look good…. a restaurant that is partially underwater on high tide? Yikes!

We picked a spot that a local told us about and when we got there the line was out the door! I started talking to the old lady next to me and she said she’s lived there for 30 years and the place is the same since they opened in 1993.

This place really had my vote!

I really enjoyed it! The shrimp was so fresh! And so is the owner!
Playing on the golf cart seemed like more fun than waiting for the sun to set so we took off. But not before we got dessert.

It was another fun day of touring the Nick and Teri way!
