We heading out this morning around 10am and mostly drive very slow and no wake up the ICW. Really loved the southern homes!
Enjoyed such wonderful nature!

I’m the first to admit I’m no Martha Stewart but this color combo isn’t working for them.
This place had the boats!
And there were some boats that seemed to be victims of Mother Nature.

Then as we got closer we saw just a random swimmer. Usually when we see swimmers in the Seddon Channel they have a bouy attachment and a canoe partner paddling next to them. This guy did not take these precautions.

Bridge.
And another
The homes were very cute!

As we got close we saw the Lighthouse. It was built in 1958 and throws light for 24 nautical miles.
When we got to our marina we had to wait outside as there was only one dockhand. While waiting outside the harbor we saw tons of dolphins. There were about 5 or 6 different groups and they were really playing in the water. They were right near the path that the Bald Head Island Ferry takes and yet they seemed to love that spot! The ferry is on our harbor so we also had to wait for it.
After we docked the boat we took the scooters into town.
And found another great spot.
We stopped because of the soup de jour!
Nick got the oysters because the world is his oyster!
Then he saw a golf cart rental place that wasn’t too far. He speed over there but they were closed.
Meanwhile I fished a bug out of my Rose. He got drunk on my wine!
We met these interesting people sitting outside next to us. They were traveling in a sailboat – the “Phyler”. We had passed them on the ICW today. They have been on their boat for months and were planning to leave it soon for their home in Lancaster PA. But returning to it for more water fun! I hope we catch up with them again sometime! They were very well travelled – in that sailboat! They’ve sailed to Europe and around France and Italy! It was certainly an amazing life they led!
Quite a day! I’m wiped out!
