Day forty three @ Harborwalk Marina, Georgetown, SC

Well on to more adventures! Left Charleston this morning and took a nice Saturday morning drive up the ICW to Georgetown. Said so long to the gigantic Azmut.

Saw some interesting bridges on this short trip. We left Charleston around 8:30 and got to Georgetown around 1.

I went house shopping again. This time it was Sullivan Island where Bill Murray lives.

Just spectacular! Passing Isle of Palm where the tide was coming in but still sorta low.

Saw a golf course in the middle of nowhere! I would enjoy that!

I’m lovin’ these boat names!!!!

Honey Badger reminds me of Tom and Barbi!

The Marina is in a great spot and our docking went well despite the wind.

We met Honey Badger on our way out and invited them for Docktails! Took the electric scooters to the fish and shrimp market and got terrific Mahi Mahi and jumbo shrimp! We also met several bikers that are in town for bike week. Some of them knew our friend Martyn and his band Highway to Hell.

Then went on to discover the town.

Met a waitress named Chris that will be emailing me with a “spider” e-mail address to talk about FL boating and maybe Cuba!

Nick had to stop here for the $2 PBRs!!!

Nick went to seek out the cigar factory so I went back to the little gift store.

We met up at this bar on the boardwalk and Main Street.

Then home on the scooters.

When we got back there was a Beneteau Trawler docked next to us with the Looper flag. Turns out Barry sold it to him as he did us our GT46. We invited them to happy hour as well and soon it was a party!

Really fun night! Got to make some new friends! Jeff – your head is really little in this picture.

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
