Late last night we had issues with the electrical on the boat. This morning was spent discussing the problems with the dockmaster and Brian from Carver. We ended up using the generator but as I write this Jeff and Nick are working on this issue. It seems to be the power on the docks.
Once we headed to town my sweetie took me straight to the Postal Museum! It was pretty neat.

Nick met a friend and asked him why all the postmen had mustaches?
The history was very interesting as they commented on Union and Confederate Post Masters.

I like this bike.
And the postal booth. How small is that!
Inside the booth.
Then we walked and discovered so many wonderful buildings. I couldn’t resist taking photos.

There was a beautiful historic church. St Michaels.

This was across from our lunch spot.

We found a great sandwich spot called Normandy Farm Bakery.

Then it was off to our pub crawl!
First stop – Pearlz

Where I tried their very own craft beer!
Cute spot! After we inquired about the bar – she admitted that Bill Murray likes to come in and enjoy dinner quietly. So Nick started researching it online and he found out that Bill Murray lives on Sullivan’s Island. There was an article outlining the top spots to spot Bill Murray.
So you can see the oysters… Nick got a few of course.
Then on to the next spot. 5 Church was on our mind so we went back. We went past the Custom House right near the Cooper River.
It was very majestic! I just loved it!
This was the sidewalk next to the Customs House – beautiful trees here in Charleston!
When we got the 5 Church we found a newbie bartender. And Nick ordered an Old Fashioned and I got a Blood Orange drink.

Well, it was great! Nick complemented her and she admitted that it was her first Old Fashioned she had ever made. Nick was so happy to be her first.

Angle wing lights.
Next stop was the book store I wanted to see. It moved so we had to walk quite a bit but when we found it we found a great shopping area!

This place reminded me of so many friends. And maybe me.
After we got some books – because I like to read – we went to The Gin Joint – we had read online that Bill Murray likes to have a cocktail there.

We both ordered the Southsider. It was spectacular!
Up next? Dinner at Blossom with Michelle and Jeff. On the walk there we enjoyed the evidence of spring!
And I like to take pictures of cool doors and windows.

And the Market.
Here’s the dinner restaurant. It was above average.

Cocktails at dinner.

Then we hit the Rooftop Bar for a drink before heading home.

Oh and I saw this guy that had a big horsefly on his back and the horsefly just kept crawling up his back to his neck. Michelle couldn’t look. So I um…. took pictures to show her. Lol

This is when she got up and announced she was saving his life.
And that was funny!
Quote of the day: “I know I’m great so you can’t convince me differently.”
Song: Sexual Healing by Marvin Gay. (We heard it in 3 of the places today!)
