This is Captain Nick’s blog. Haven’t written in a while, but since today was a long trek, I thought I would write about it.
The day started early at 7:00am, one and a half hours before high tide. (Tides at Jekyll Island are 6.5 feet). By 7:30, Aquasition and Breskaway II were on their way. Jeff had spent hours chart plotting this 100 mile trek on the ICW, and I was fortunate enough to benefit from his work and lead our boats up the numerous different rivers, sounds, creeks etc.
Aside from numerous slow zones, it was a terrific run – – virtually no shallow warning alarms and smooth sailing all the way! Had we had Bahamian dudes to wash the boats – – we would have passed – – as the entire trip was made with no spray or salt water getting on the boats.

We got here around 2pm and were looking forward to a great marina and a set of slips to accommodate us. The Westin docks were a little disappointing. Not exactly the Tampa Marriott waterside marina – – they sure could use a guy like Earl Cadoret here!!
The Savannah River commercial traffic is quite busy – – and we are on a long dock that gets rocked now and then by passing river traffic. Nonetheless, Savannah is an awesome spot!! I will leave some of the details to Teri – – but suffice it to say, the Westin delivered the Amazon orders and the mail from Brayden without fail!!
Looking forward to seeing Jack tomorrow – – Captain Nick – – out!
