So much to do and so much to see! Making time for old friends is a wonderful part of Nicks personality and mine too! Facebook has reconnected me with so many old friends and faces – since I moved out of my hometown so long ago.
This morning we had a relaxing breakfast with our close friends from Tampa, Amber and Kevin. Then they were off to get home to their little ones. Next up we’re two beautiful women that I’ve known for 40+ years! Bobbie and Juli Solczyk of PCC fame! Prestwick Country Club for those of you not from the South burbs of Chicago.
It was wonderful to meet Reese, Juli’s daughter and Bobbie’s granddaughter. She is quite the teenager! Lick your lips ladies! (Famous line from Don Olivieri).
I loved hearing stories from Bobbie about my Dad giving out one lines that were somewhat surprising from him (a quite guy). And hearing Juli talk about her family and her work with Wounded Warrior Project was enthralling and heartwarming. What a fabulous family!

I gotta say however, the best line came from Reese. I told her that I have some stories about her Uncle Bubbs (Michael Biedermann) and her reply made the quote of the day!!! “So do I! I have some stories too!” Boldly stated by Reese. Love that girl! I promised a fun time for her and her friends if she visits us in Tampa!!!
So lucky and happy to reconnect with these women! Glad you’re part of my life and now part of the blog!
Next up John Hoffecker arrived direct from the airport. He was flying in from MN and wanted to see the boat before we went to his home (or should I say the Kennedy Estate on the Ocean!)!!!
Can’t get the front of the house in the camera. I’d have to go across the street and down some to fit it in the wide angle lens! Beautiful!

This is the back patio and view of the little pond back there (called the Atlantic Ocean)!!!

This is Nick catching me at my best.
So then we took the show on the ICW! No not on the boat but rather at this amazing restaurant!

First time I ever had red shrimp. They were delicious!

This restaurant was right on the ICW. Great sunset and serene views. Very calm water tonight.

It was wonderful getting to know more about John and Dayle and their amazing and interesting family.
Meanwhile, back at the marina….
Late last night Jeff stood in his master bedroom in 1 inch of water and wondered what the heck caused that! After searching and relentless going through every part of his boat – he found the busted gasket under his bed. The water pressure was just too much. He replaced the small gasket and today was spent cleaning out the water mess and running errands. What a mess! But if anyone can figure it out it is Jeff! He always impresses me!
Tomorrow we are hoping to get into Amelia Island Marina but there seems to be communication issues going on with the dockhands. We will keep you updated!
