Good morning tide! We had to time our departure by the morning tide since the marina has a shallow entry and we need a 4 foot draft.
On our way to Jacksonville we saw lots of nature. Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Park was beautiful and desolate.

It quickly became a tour of homes I’d like to own.

Went under a few more bridges before we saw the city of Jacksonville.

We had to get Carter the Dockmaster on his cell because he just wasn’t responding to our hail on 16. The Florida Yacht Club on approach was gorgeous, Spanish themed architecture. We were lucky we had Amber and Kevin waiting to assist docking the boat! Amber got on her bum to use her body weight to pull the line in. Impressive! Thanks guys let’s get a drink!
After our snack we tried out the pool but could only dip our feet – because the transformer blew they wouldn’t let us in it. Just as we are leaving Mom calls me for a FaceTime. Amber and Mom exchange recipe tips and I am lost on that conversation. Then we switch gears and jump in the dinghy for some adventures, also we wanted to test Nicks skills in maneuverability.
Strategically placed beer.

Almost crashed this wedding.
It was a laugh a minute when we climbed into Big Blue (name of Ambers Ford Expedition and discussed the last time all 4 of us were in Italy trying to drive to dinner. Sorrento Italy has a lot of switchbacks and not enough bridges. Lol. Got to the restaurant and Kevin let the car parallel park.
Good job Kevin!!! Of course we found the bar.

You are witnessing the planning party for the next Italy trip! Great times with great friends! Amber and Kevin – epic night! Thanks!
