Day twenty four @ Cocoa Village Marina, Cocoa Beach, FL

We are really enjoying Cocoa Beach! The views are beautiful and we have dolphins right near the docks! Nick and I ventured into town which is a block from the marina. I hit any boutique I saw! Then we had to stop for a glass of wine at Cafe Margaux and ended up having a small lunch there. I had the soup of the day which was Cream of Mushroom with sherry! It was the most delicious mushroom soup I’ve ever had! Then we took our show around town – and hit all the pubs! When we found the Bier Garden that’s when Nick texted his buddy Jeff. Nick had to drop a pin and Michelle and Jeff found us in a jiffy.

Michelle got this strawberry drink that I just had to try as well! Then came the German food!I couldn’t help but talk about my German Grandparents and all the great memories I have of their home in Clarendon Hills, IL. Eins, Zwei, Drei!!! So I FaceTimed my Mom tonight!

After all the food and drinking Nick and I found a bike shop and rented two bikes for the day. This gnome was looking at me. What is a garden gnome doing in a bike shop? It’s just wrong! Where is Larry Magnuson and Doug Ford when I need them?!?

We took the bikes up the road that paralleled the Intercostal. These two palm trees are dancers!

Then we found a pub. This made me miss my brother. So I called him tonight.

I forced Nick to take me to the hardware store. It opened in 1885 and there is stuff in there you’ll never see anywhere else!

I really enjoyed that place! They had a complete line of Lodge cookware for all your cast iron needs!

Took the bikes back to the boat and I think we secured them well but we will have to see in the morning.

Then it was back to Cafe Margaux for a fabulous dinner! Lauren and Ronnie joined us along with Kevin and Kathleen who are old friends of Jeff and Michelle. Ronnie ordered a color changing drink that stayed a nice purple color and didn’t change.

Raspberry and Disaronno cake that tasted like the pink sugar wafer cookies of my youth.

Interesting fact – Ronnie wants to learn how to surf with the sharks in the ocean but will not sleep in a hotel that is suspected to be haunted.

Also Interesting fact – Lauren will say just about anything and she feels by prefacing it with “I read this somewhere” makes it ok to say.

Quote of the day came from Ronnie and I don’t even remember the context “Chicken are like dinosaurs.”

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
