Day twenty @ Harbour Ridge Yacht & CC, Palm City, FL

First thing we did when we got up was secure a tee time for the Pete Dye designed course here. Done! It was for 2:32 so we had time for some errands. Got Enterprise to pick us up and rented a Ford Fusion. Jeff came with and we dropped off his broken window treatment then stopped at Publix for some necessities. When we got back Michelle was just returning on her bike from the fitness center. She was totally enamored by the place! She said it was awesome! Then we had just enough time to eat lunch on the boat and get set for 18. I haven’t golfed for about 3 weeks and Nick for months. This is the water area that you’ll find at many golf courses. Notice the blue towels on the shelf to the right! How exciting! They just give you as many towels as you need! The course had amazing views of the St Lucie River. Nick played like a champ!

Except this shot. Hee hee.

I tried the pano because it was just too beautiful not to try and capture everything! There were an unusual amount of coupolas on the houses out there! Wish I had that on video or something. It’s like the coupola sales guy was popular in this neighborhood.

Surprise Nick! It only took back surgery and a bad leg for me to beat you without giving me strokes! Bam! I got an 81 and Nick an 84. It was a fun course. Here is a photo of the ladies golf at the club.

Then we relaxed in the locker rooms and headed for the bar. They were closing it early because of a family event but Nick got her to make us 2 “to go” cocktails – gratis! Love this place! While we golfed Jeff & Michelle used the car for errand – which worked out well. Then it was time for supper. I decided to take Nick to Conchy Joes in Jensen Beach. I was shocked at all the development everywhere but Jensen Beach downtown kept its charm! There was a cute street fest going on in Jensen Beach (pineapple capital of FL). Found my old favorite restaurant!

The Conch Chowder was just as I remembered and it was served with sherry! So magnificent!!!

Everything changed everywhere I looked but Conchy Joes was the same! Live music and steel drums!

The decor was the same and the raw bar was worth the trip!

Fabulous day and wonderful night! All under a full moon.

Cocktail: white wine! Kendall Jackson Chardonnay

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
