Day nine @ Resorts World Bimini Island, The Bahamas

The morning was gorgeous! After I made a nice breakfast of fried eggs, avocado, strawberries and toast we got organized for relaxing at the Hilton pool. Jeff and Michelle walked with us and chatted about the fun they had last night at the casino. Nick admitted to over doing the cocktails and said he would utilize the swim up bar for some ‘hair of the dog’, when Jeff said, “That’s exactly what you need right now!”

Swim up bar and infinity pool were gorgeous but the view was the real draw! Poolside service was tops!

The book Nick is reading is courtesy of friends Anne Marie and Jim of VT. Two nights ago I was trying to read when Nick kept interrupting me so I was able to hand him this book and he’s been busy ever since! Thanks AM and Jim!!!

After we completed a wonderful morning and afternoon of poolside and dockside relaxation we headed back to the boat for lunch and golf cart keys! Michelle and Jeff jumped in their dinghy for the afternoon.

At lunch this guy passed our marina. Absolutely no wake!

Then Nick and I went exploring by ourselves on the golf cart.

We started in Alice Town at the Big Game Club. Very nice and even fancy but a little old school! We did enjoy the small bar inside. I talked to Latrice the server and she was telling me about the great Junkanoo that Bimini has and it starts on Good Friday and ends on Easter. She said people from all the other islands attend and it is Biminis busiest time of year.

I overheard some of the locals deciding some important things – “A bad woman and a leaky roof; can’t live with either one of them!” at the Hemingway bar!

Then on to more locals stops!

The Hilton entry.

The Hilton tram behind us.

The Hilton beach! Everything new and just perfect! You can rent jet skis!

This is the restaurant and bar at the Hilton beach.

Hilton villas? Just beyond this was a large area that was under development – we will have to come back to get the updates!

Met up with Michelle and Jeff for a nice sushi dinner at the restaurant inside the Hilton!

Afterward we went to check out the 5th floor pool and view.

Our boat made it in this photo. Just SW of Jeff’s right hand.

Nicks kinda place!

After a long day of fun and relaxation – it’s such a nice feeling to head back to the comfort of our new floating condo!

Tomorrow we are heading to the Barry Islands early!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
