Day seven @ Miami Beach Yacht Club

Today started late but we got a lot done! After working on the routes with Capt Jeff we headed to town on the electric scooters. And we found out later that the Rendezvous and Madame left a day early for the Bahamas. You can be sure we will catch up to them shortly!

We found a wonderful brunch spot! The Local House.

We sat outside on the adorable sidewalk patio. The music was on but not too loud!Restaurant decor was great! The Classic Eggs Benedict were perfect! Along with fresh squeezed FL orange juice!

This sign was found in the women’s bathroom! I loved it so much I sent it to my niece who works hard for women issues! More restaurant/bars should do this! As we made our way back we found a TJMaxx only a few blocks from the marina so we stopped in to get two yoga mats and a step stool. Our step stool is on the bottom of the MBYC marina slip F21. Here is the new and improved step stool that I’m sure won’t abandon us.

Tried out the selfie stick. After running around and having fun we relaxed on the boat to gear up for happy hour at Montie’s.

Michelle and Jeff had mojitos while Nick and I had Painkillers! The boys both got a dozen oysters at Montie’s!

On the walk back the fishing tournament was weighing in and it was very cool to see all the fish!

Dinner was compliments of Michelle – I helped (sorta) she used my air fryer for the chicken. Delicious!!!!

Jeff helping us back with the air fryer in tow. It’s a Cuisinart Toaster Oven and Air Fryer! The best and I found the instruction manual online because mine is lost on the spacious boat!

Another beautiful sunset and relaxing evening. Getting ready to depart at 8am for the Bahamas tomorrow. We found out that we are missing the Bahamian flag. Too late to get it at the marina store but Rick Marx has an extra one on the Madame and he said he’d sell it to us for $88. Stay tuned – not sure how this joke plays out with these boys. (Flag costs $20).

Cocktail: Montie’s Painkiller #2

Boat Issue: best part of the boat is back cockpit sofa for sunset watching!

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
