Day 5 @ Hawks Cay

After the electrical issues and almost losing all our food supplies, we got going in the morning and ran around on the Add On dinghy

What’s amazing about running through The canals on Duck Key, some of the homes were totally destroyed by the hurricane while others stand prim and proper.

After touring most of the key, we ended up bringing the dinghy back to the Aquasition. It was easy to get the dinghy on board – – now the cover was amother story. Note to self always mark bow and stern on a cover and you won’t try and put it on backwards.

Once we figured out which way the cover had to go on, it went on in two minutes versus the 45 minute struggle we had trying to put it on the wrong way

We have a 7:30 AM departure to Miami tomorrow morning, it should be a fairly smooth ride given we will be on the inside rather than on on the ocean side of the keys

Looking forward to Miami tomorrow

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
