Day four @ Hawks Cay in Duck Key, FL

What a great way to begin my day! This little crab welcomed me before the sun!Watched a few boat depart for their journey ahead and some to get in some early morning fishing, then headed to the spa with Michelle for a relaxing facial and dry sauna and hot tub! Very relaxing and just what I needed after working hard on the boat. When I returned in time for lunch Nick and Jeff were just returning from “testing” the new Add On dinghy. They enjoyed themselves but both needed some chili for lunch. Just hangin out at the docks.

Nick made the decision to seek out a clinic to remove his 3 inches of stitches from a melanoma removal two weeks ago. Here is the before photo. It was quite pricey to take an Uber into Marathon FL but that is where he found a clinic that would take him. He seemed fine but the Dr warned the middle portion wasn’t fully healed so he should avoid submerging it in water. We took that into advisement and headed to the McDonalds nearby for a snack. Then an Uber to help us back to enjoy the adult pool. Using his charisma we got a cocktail and relaxed on the very comfortable bow of the boat where we love people watching, nature watching and reading. Before you knew it the time flew by and our reservations at “Angler and Ale” was coming. We quickly readied for dinner and met up with friends. Tom Bruno getting the Bolts game on the TV via casting from his phone! Thanks Tom!

Oh the shadows- if only I had a flashlight for a personal lighting option. Tom???

Perfectly cooked fresh snapper!

Not sure of the exact caption. But Kathy and Bob (aka Rick) we’re very entertaining tonight! Kesha had your number!

Angler & Ale Bar – favorite spot!!!

After a great meal we took the long walk back because of all the construction near the old shop and laundry room. We will need to come back to see the finished product!

Cocktail: Makers and Diet and Pinot shared by Kathy.

Boat Issue: Favorite spot on the bow.

Book: The Other Side of the River – half done.

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
