Day two @ Marco Island Yacht Club

Today started early! 7:15 got the coffee going and impressed Tom Bruno with my breakfast making skills (I gave him a hard boiled egg with salt and pepper). Had some work to do to secure items then off we went to discover Marco! Sarasota Yacht Club as we depart.

A very narrow bridge pass on the inside called Blackburn bridge. It’s a swing bridge. Arriving at Marco Island Yacht Club you feel as if you are entering a neighborhood canal (as most of the homes are on canals here) but you’ll see the 100+ ft yachts to your left and you’ll know right away where to go. Great time here as friends from Michigan met us for dinner. Went to a small local place called Verdi’s and enjoyed getting to know Rose! I’ve golfed with Jerry for 7 years and only heard stories of Rose! She’s got great fish tales! They also helped us tremendously by swinging by Publix before they dropped us off at the docks! Rose also informed us of a burrowing owl that inhabits this island and is protected – if we had more time I’d go take a look. Thank you J & R and hope to see you this summer in Michigan.

Teri is a retired CFO and Nick is a partner in a private equity firm. We are both very irrelevant in the business worlds. We jumped up to a 52 foot boat because we were in need of more adventure. We are on the Great Loop around the East Coast of North America. It's been a wild ride!
